Comparatives

Today we will learn how to make comparisons. There are two types of comparison. In the first, we are comparing two things with each other. For example, when you say "your child is taller than my child". For that, we use ga, which means compared to:

Ga nime fano, a rune fano a yalen.
Compared to my child, your child is tall.

Take a look at more examples:

A hoi oimel a oihi ga ho noi (oimel).
This story is interesting compared to that (story).

A yudur ga i iliroar.
it's hard compared to what I thought.

Ga i boemo, a anefene a yuba.
Compared to cooking, resting is good.

The second type of comparison is when you say one thing is the most amongst others. For that, we use anodu, which means top:

A rune fano a anodu yalen.
Your child is the tallest.

A nime fatore a anodu yunro de fatore.
My grandpa is the smartest of grandpas.

A hoi mo a anodu yuba en boemo.
This food (plate) is the best in this kitchen.

To sum up:

ga = compared to
ga [x], a [y] a [adjective] = compared to [x], [y] is more [adjective]
anodu = top
a [y] a anodu [adjective] de [z] = [y] is the most [adjective] among [z]

Ce yun a run a anodu de rune famei? Ce ya a run ga rune fasu?
