L: "Ce mouje a run i anidai, eoren? E moaria mouje dou e mogali?"
M: "E mogali, eori."
L: "Moval mogali?"
M: "Um, mai su moulu, eori."

Now try to create your own dialogue using dou, mai, su, and eta:

NUMBERS

Let's take a look at numbers! Here's how to count to ten:

Oravia English
tam 1
tor 2
par 3
alem 4
alui 5
teva 6
peri 7
auta 8
teda 9
das 10

Now try counting from 1 to 10! How about backwards, from 10 to 1? How about counting just the odd numbers, and then just the even numbers?

Expressing higher numbers is really easy:

das = 10
das par = 13
par das = 30
par das alem = 34
Now try counting 1-20. Tip: 15 is das alui and 20 is tor das.

Next, try saying 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90. Tip: 40 is alem das and 80 is auta das.

Great job, you can count to 99! Or should I say, teda das teda?

Matching Games

Time to practice! Match the Oravia words with their English meanings.

If you don't remember or make a mistake, that's totally fine! We will have plenty of opportunities to practice. Right now just give it a try.

Click one word from each column to match them. The game will check automatically when you select both words.
