Lesson 13: EO Cluster

How to Use This Lesson

Every lesson is divided into five sections: Warm-Up, Grammar, Vocabulary, Exercise, and Review. Please move through these tabs in order.

Do not try to memorize! Just read through the content attentively. We will have plenty of exercises and reviews later!

Adjectives

Now, see if you can understand these sentences. If you scroll bellow, you will see tips, and then answers.

a nim a fare.
a boegor a yaltanum.
a haye fasu a yalen.
a mouje a movalum.
a run a moyam.
a nime anidai a yahgor.

Tips

fare = parent
fasu = sibling
moyam = spice
molcui = bowl
yaltan = big
yalen = long
yahgor = solid, firm
anidai = want
a...a... = is/are

There is a very useful particle for adjectives: ho. We use it in front of a word to indicate its opposite meaning. For example:

a nim a yalen = I am tall
a nim a ho yalen = I am short

We can use ho in front of many kinds of words, not only adjectives! For example:

nim i bonfene = I lie down
nim i ho bonfene = I stand up

Notice that it is not the same as the negative -um:

nim i ho bonfene = I stand up
nim i bonfeneum = I don't lie down

Now try to create 3 sentences using a...a... and ho:
