Lesson 3: FA Cluster

Every lesson is divided into four sections: Grammar, Vocabulary, Exercise, and Review. Please move through these tabs in order. After you finish, try the Exercises and Review again to see how much you’ve improved.

Do not try to memorize! Just read through the content attentively. We will have plenty of exercises and reviews later!

Answers

Great job! Based on the sentences, we can see that:

a [someone] i [verb] e [something]

. Because we have markers, the word order is flexible.

. If it's clear from context, we can omit markers.

. There are no articles, conjugation or plural (just plural for personal pronouns).

Adjectives

Remember words can work as a noun, adjective, adverb, or verb? That is, their meaning and role is flexible depending on the sentence.

Here's an easy way to use words as an adjective: you just need to use one after the other, and whichever comes first is modifying the next one!

For example, you may have:

moaria mouje

In this case, apple is modifying drink. That's some kind of apple drink (probably juice!).

There are many other words in the MO cluster that can work as an adjective. See if you can create sentences using word combinations.

That's it for grammar today! Let's move on to the next tab: Vocabulary.

The FA Cluster

Time to take a look at our second cluster! Look at the list of words below.

Remember, do not try to memorize them. Just read it through attentively.

Oravia English
faibor spouse
faofa cousin
fame parent
falni baby
falen child

What do you think the words that start in FA have in common?

Can you create 2 sentences using these words?

Matching Games

Time to practice! Match the Oravia words with their English meanings.

If you don't remember or make a mistake, that's totally fine! We will have plenty of opportunities to practice. Right now just give it a try.

Click one word from each column to match them. The game will check automatically when you select both words.

After completing the Exercises and Review, try it again to see how much you've improved.
